KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad and other ministers of CPN-UML have tendered their resignation.
They submitted the resignation to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Monday.
Earlier on the day, the Secretariat Committee meeting of CPN-UML decided to quit the government and also withdraw its support.
Along with Poudel, Minister for Health Padam Giri, Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Bhagwati Chaudhary, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Jwala Kumari Shah, Minister for Foreign Affairs Bimala Rai Poudyal and Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Rajendra Kumar Rai met Prime Minister Dahal and submitted their resignation. Minister for Hari Uprety, however, wasn’t present on the occasion.
