Three Lumbini ministers sworn in

BUTWAL: Three newly appointed ministers in Lumbini Province took the oath of office and secrecy on Tuesday.

Province Chief Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar administered the oath to the newly appointed ministers from the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) at the Office of the Province Chief in Butwal.

Gharti Magar on Monday appointed Dipendra Kumar Pun as the Minister for Health, Indrajit Tharu as the Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning and Krishna Kushma Tharu as Minister for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives on the recommendation of Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya.

CPN-UML formed a new alliance with the NCP in provinces after the Nepali Congress (NC) announced it was exiting the alliance with UML in late July.

Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya and Speaker Tularam Gharti Magar were also present at the swearing-in ceremony.
