KATHMANDU: A committee formed to recommend candidates for the vacant position of Vice-Chancellor at Tribhuvan University (TU) Monday has submitted a list of three names to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
The committee led by Minister for Education, Science and Technology Raghuji Pant submitted the recommendations to Prime Minister Oli, who is also the Chancellor of the TU on Monday.
Education Secretary Chudamani Paudel and Nepal Planning Commission (NPC) Member Gita Kumari Poudyal Adhikari were the other members of the committee.
The Pant-led committee has recommended Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Khadga KC, Prof Dr Binil Aryal and former Director General of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology Prof Dr Deepak Aryal.
The position has been lying vacant since Prof Dr Keshar Jung Baral’s resignation was approved on April 10. On April 13, Oli appointed Dr KC as the Acting Vice Chancellor for a maximum period of three months.
