Pokhara twin sisters secure 4.0 GPA in SEE

POKHARA: Twin sisters from a community school in Kaski have secured a perfect 4.0 GPA in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results 2026, published on Monday.

Divya and Deepika, daughters of Shalik Subedi and Bhagwati Subedi of Bhandardhik in Pokhara-29, achieved the top score. They are students of Janaprakash Secondary School.

The twins told Himal Press they aspire to become doctors and serve the health needs of people in Nepal.

According to Shekhar Nath Sharma, the principal of the school, seven out of 84 students who appeared in the examination from the school secured an A+ grade, 10 obtained an A grade, while a total of 58 students passed. Janaprakash, which has been participating in SLC/SEE examinations since 1992, is considered one of the preferred community schools in Pokhara.

A total of 65 students achieved a 4.0 GPA in Kaski this year. The highest number, 12 students, were from Motherland Secondary School.

Similarly, a total of 10 students from six community schools secured a 4.0 GPA. Among them, three were from Chhorepatan Secondary School, two from Gogan Secondary School, and one each from Barahi Secondary School, Tribhuvan Shanti Secondary School, and Machhapuchchhre Secondary School.

Overall, 81.75% of students in Kaski were graded (passed) in this year’s examination, according to Loknath Acharya, chief of the Education Development and Coordination Unit, Kaski.
The pass rate was around 82% last year as well.
