KATHMANDU: A Bangalore-bound Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) aircraft returned to Kathmandu after a suspected bird hit on Saturday afternoon
The Airbus A320 aircraft departed from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu at 1:45 pm. The flight path as per flightradar24.com shows the aircraft exited Kathmandu Valley via Bhaktapur to Dhulikhel from where it headed southward.
It diverted westward somewhere above Hariwan of Sarlahi and again turned northward above the Nijgadh area before coming back to TIA. The aircraft landed at around 2:22 pm.
“We suspect a bird strike,” a duty officer at the TIA control tower told Himal Press. “The plane will take off only after needful tests are conducted.”
