Rukmini Koirala of UML elected to National Assembly

ITAHARI: Rukmini Koirala of CPN-UML has been elected to the National Assembly.

In the voting held on Thursday, Koirlala defeated Champadevi Karki of CPN (Maoist Center) by 94 votes. Karki was the common candidate of the the ruling coalition, while UML’s Koirala had the support of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).

While Koirala received 5,086 votes, Karki got 4,992 votes.
