KATHMANDU: Prohibitory orders have been enforced in two local units in Sunsari following a clash between two groups of youths in Bhutaha in Harinagar 1 and 2 of Sunsari on Friday morning.

Acting Chief District Officer of Sunsari Bedraj Phuyal issued prohibitory orders in all wards of Harinagar Rural Municipality and wards 1 and 7 of Devangunj Rural Municipality from Friday noon till further notice.

“All activities like social, religious and political meetings, rallies and demonstrations have been prohibited in all areas of Harinagar Rural Municipality and Devangunj Rural Municipality from Friday noon until further notice,” the Sunsari District Administration Office said in its order.

Earlier, police had fired tear gas shells after a demonstration of two groups of youths started becoming violent.
