KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel held a meeting with Lieutenant General Joel B. Vowell, Deputy Commander of the United States Army Pacific, at the Nepal Army headquarters on Monday.
The two sides discussed matters of bilateral interest during the meeting, according to a statement issued by the Nepal Army.
Vowell arrived in Nepal on Sunday as part of a routine visit, leading a US Army delegation. The delegation visited India and Bhutan before arriving in Nepal.
During the visit, the team is scheduled to tour the Birendra Peace Operations Training Centre of the Nepali Army in Panchkhal of Kavre.
It will leave for Thailand on Tuesday.
