KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel thanked Nepali Army personnel for their high professional competence, professionalism, and exemplary performance during search and rescue operations in the August 16 Bhotekoshi floods and other natural disasters in the country.
Addressing the closing ceremony of the two-day Division Commanders’ Coordination Meeting held at the Nepali Army Headquarters on Friday, Sigdel also instructed the army personnel to carry out any assigned responsibilities efficiently in the days ahead.
According to a statement issued by the Nepali Army, the meeting reviewed various activities carried out by the Nepali Army and discussed the current security situation, disaster response strategies and other contemporary issues.
CoAS Sigdel, commanders of eight divisions, and other high-ranking military officials attended the meeting.
