KATHMANDU: A team from the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) successfully rescued a common leopard from the premises of the Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal on Tuesday.

The operation was carried out in coordination with Nepal Police and the Division Forest Office, Lalitpur.

The rescued animal, a four-year-old male weighing around 60 kilograms, is currently receiving treatment at the NTNC Central Zoo.

According to NTNC, its Central Zoo team rescued 48 mammals, 181 birds, 11 reptiles and one fish species in and around the Kathmandu Valley during the last fiscal year.
