KATHMANDU: A Nepal Army rescue team has safely rescued 15 tourists, including three foreigners, who were trapped in snowfall in the Hidden Valley region of Mustang.
According to the Nepal Army, the rescue team deployed from the High Altitude and Mountain Warfare School located the tourists at Batasedanda, at an altitude of around 4,900 meters, after three days of relentless effort.
“Following the rescue, the team conducted preliminary health check-ups of the tourists and, with the support of Indrabox Battalion, the Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, and civilian guides, made preparations to bring them to Jomsom,” the army said.
