KATHMANDU: All eight individuals who died in a road accident in Rautahat district early Tuesday morning have been identified.
The ill-fated jeep, carrying pilgrims coming from Gadhimai Temple, met with an accident on the Dhansar-Lamaha section of the East West Highway in Chandrapur Municipality-4 of Rautahat.
According to District Police Office, Rautahat, the deceased have been identified as Larubati Devi Mahara (60), Milra Mahara (30), Ram Kumar Mahara (50), Fulmanti Devi Chamar (60), Ramkumari Devi Mahara (60), Shakuntala Devi Mahara (30), and Shree Kumar Yadav (50) – the jeep driver. All the victims are from Anra Rural Municipality-3 of Siraha.
Five injured are receiving treatment at different hospitals.
