KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University is looking to set a world record with over 73,000 students graduating from the country’s oldest university during its 49th Convocation at Dasharath Stadium on Monday.
However, TU officials estimate that only approximately 12,000 students will physically attend the convocation ceremony at Dasharath Stadium.
TU has formally applied to the Official World Records, claiming that it will establish a record for the largest number of students graduating simultaneously.
TU officials have confirmed that representatives from the Official World Records arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday to scrutinize and verify TU’s claims.
