KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal skipped the meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the House of Representatives scheduled for Thursday.
The committee had invited Dahal to inform the House panel about his upcoming visit to China.
Minister for Finance NP Saud represented Prime Minister Dahal in the meeting. In response to queries raised by members of the committee, Saud stated that the ministry was conducting internal preparations for Nepal’s agenda during the Prime Minister’s visit. “Opening trade routes that were closed during COVID-19 and resuming activities through traditional entry points used by residents of Himalayan districts for trade and other social purposes could be on the agenda,” Saud added.
Dahal is scheduled to depart for China on September 23. Before that, he will travel to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly.
