KATHMANDU: Bagmati Chief Minister Kiran Thapa Magar has inducted Rama Ale Magar of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) into his cabinet.
Ale Magar has been handed the Agriculture, Livestock, Forest and Environment portfolio.
With this appointment, the number of members in the Bagmati cabinet has reached eight.
Province Chief Deepak Prasad Devkota administered the oath of office and secrecy to Minister Ale Magar amid a ceremony in Hetauda on Friday.
Earlier, Province Chief Devkota had appointed Ale Magar as the minister on the recommendation of Chief Minister Thapa as per Article 168 (9) of the Constitution of Nepal, 2015.
Ale Magar was elected to the Bagmati Provincial Assembly from the Kathmandu-10(B) seat. She previously served as Minister for Youth and Sports in the government led by Shalikram Jamkattel.
