KATHMANDU: Five newly promoted Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) of Nepal Police were conferred insignia on Monday.
SSPs Bhupendra Bahadur Khatri, Sanuram Bhattarai, Om Prasad Adhikari, Shekhar Khanal, and Abhi Narayan Kafle were promoted through a ministerial decision on Wednesday on the recommendation of the Promotion Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The committee had made the recommendation on October 26.
Inspector General Chandra Kuber Khapung conferred the insignia on the newly promoted officers at a ceremony held at the Nepal Police Headquarters on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Inspector General Khapung congratulated the officers on their promotion and wished them a successful tenure.
