Assistant Head Constable arrested on murder charge

KATHMANDU: An assistant head constable of Nepal Police has been arrested on a murder charge.

Assistant Head Constable Mahesh Chaudhary and Chetraj Bhandari have been arrested for investigation into the murder of Raj Kumar Rana (28) of Laljhadi Rural Municipality-3 of Kanchanpur district. Rana’s body was found in a forest in Baluwaphanta in Krishnapur Municipality.

Superintendent of Police Kamal Thapa, the chief of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, said Assistant Head Constable Chaudhary and one more individual have been arrested based on a complaint filed by the victim’s family. “We are investigating the case,” he added.
