KATHMANDU: A daylong career summit is being organized in Kathmandu this Saturday, targeting Nepali students aspiring to pursue higher education in the United States and Canada.
The International Education and Global Career Summit, 2026, is being organized jointly by Orbit International Education and Straw Holdings, in collaboration with US-based MPOWER Financing, which provides collateral-free education loans to students planning to study abroad.
According to the organisers, the event will be held from 10 am to 4 pm at The Everest Hotel, New Baneshwor.
It will feature international experts from MPOWER Financing, who will engage directly with students on financial challenges associated with studying abroad, particularly education loan management.
Organizers said the experts will provide guidance on securing collateral-free student loans and offer insights into financial planning for studies in the US and Canada.
To make the event more engaging, organizers have planned interactive activities, including icebreakers and a Kahoot quiz competition, with prizes on offer. Early participants will receive gift items such as power banks and thermal tumblers, while one lucky attendee will win an iPad, according to a statement issued by the organizers.
