Three rescued from truck that plunged into Trishuli

KATHMANDU: Three people have been rescued safely from a truck that plunged into the Trishuli River along the Prithvi Highway in Dhading on Tuesday morning.

According to the District Police Office, Dhading, the truck coming to Kathmandu from Nawalparasi fell off the highway near Khayarghari in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-10 at around 5:50 am.

The truck driver, Ashish Mahato (27), his assistant, Raju Thapa Magar (26), and the truck owner, Suresh Gurung (46), have been rescued safely, police say.

Only the roof of the truck can be seen in the video shared on social media. Police are trying to retrieve the truck.
