KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index fell by 18.25 points and closed the last trading day of the week at 2,627.14 points on Thursday.
Share prices of 170 companies declined, while 67 advanced, and seven remained unchanged during the session.
NLG Insurance Company Ltd logged the highest turnover of the session with Rs 343.12 million worth of shares traded. Sahas Urja Ltd and ICFC Finance Company followed with turnovers of Rs 249.35 million and Rs 249.27 million, respectively.
Among trading groups, only the Hydropower sub-index posted marginal gains. The biggest loss came from the Trading group, which was down by 1.93%. Manufacturing & Processing and Banking were next with losses of 1.26% and 1.02%, respectively.
Shares worth Rs 5.41 billion were traded on the bourse through 61,785 transactions on Thursday.
