NC says preparation for Mahasamiti meeting has reached the final stage

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress has announced that preparations for its Mahasamiti meeting have reached the final stage.

Speaking at a press conference at the party headquarters in Sanepa on Wednesday, Min Bahadur Bishwakarma, coordinator of the party’s Publicity Department, stated that the preparations for the Mahasamiti meeting, scheduled to be held in Godavari from February 19-22, have reached the final stage.

According to Bishwakarma, the party has decided to display portraits of founding leader BP Koirala and incumbent President Sher Bahadur Deuba on the welcome gate to be erected at the event venue. “The welcome gates will also be erected at Nagadhunga, Kalanki, Gongabu, Maharajganj, Chabahil, Koteshwar, Balkhu, Chobhar, Lalitpur Balkumari, Satdobato, Lubhu, Chapagaun, Kupandol, Sanga, Suryabinayak, Kamalbinayak, Kaushaltar, Jadibuti, Bhakundebensi, Dhulikhel, Banepa, Gajuri, Naubise, Kakani, and Jarsingpaua,” he added.

NC will also put a medical team on standby at the event venue, while there will be stalls selling books on democracy and socialism and other relevant subjects, according to Bishwakarma.
