KATHMANDU: People will now have to pay Rs 15 per transaction for using the automated teller machine (ATM) of other banks.
Issuing an integrated circular on Tuesday, the NRB said a fee of Rs 15 will be charged on every transaction done using ATM kiosks of other banks.
So far, people were getting two such transactions free of cost, while banks were allowed to charge a maximum of Rs 20 per transaction thereafter.
Meanwhile, the central bank has also increased the limit of transactions that can be done through mobile banking (including QR system). Now, one can transact up to Rs 300,000 every day via mobile banking. The previous daily limit on such transactions was Rs 200,000.
Similarly, the limit for fund transfers from bank accounts to mobile wallets and vice versa has also been raised to Rs 200,000 from the existing Rs 50,000. Likewise, the NRB has raised wallet to wallet transfer limit to Rs 50,000 per day from the existing Rs 20,000.
