JSP Nepal, LSP Nepal complete merger; unveil 297-member Central Committee

KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal and the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) Nepal have finalized a 297-member Central Committee for the newly merged entity, which will retain the name JSP Nepal.

According to a statement issued by the JSP Nepal, the Central Committee was formed in accordance with Section 87(2) of the party statute, ensuring 33% representation of women and 40% representation of youth.

Mahantha Thakur has been appointed patron of the Central Committee, while Upendra Yadav is the president, Sharat Singh Bhandari the joint president and Rakam Chemjong the senior leader.

Similarly, the Central Committee has seven vice presidents, three general secretaries, 11 secretaries and one treasurer.
