JSP Nepal, LSP Nepal complete merger; unveil 297-member Central Committee

KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal and the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) Nepal have finalized a 297-member Central Committee for the newly merged entity, which will retain the name JSP Nepal.

According to a statement issued by the JSP Nepal, the Central Committee was formed in accordance with Section 87(2) of the party statute, ensuring 33% representation of women and 40% representation of youth.

Mahantha Thakur has been appointed patron of the Central Committee, while Upendra Yadav is the chairperson, Sharat Singh Bhandari co-chairperson and Rakam Chemjong senior leader in the new committee.

Similarly, the Central Committee has seven vice presidents, three general secretaries, 11 secretaries and one treasurer.
