Qatar Emir coming on two-day state visit

KATHMANDU: Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, is arriving in Nepal on a two-day state visit on Tuesday at the invitation of President Ram Chandra Paudel.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the visit in a statement on Sunday.

The Emir of the State of Qatar is scheduled to meet with President Poudel at the Office of the President and hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday. “The two leaders will witness the signing ceremony of bilateral agreements and memorandums of Understanding,” the ministry added in the statement.

The Qatari Emir will depart from Kathmandu on Wednesday.
