China exempts visa fee for Nepalis

KATHMANDU: China has exempted visa fees for Nepalis visiting Mainland China.

Issuing a notice on Sunday, the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu said no visa fee will be levied on Nepali nationals from May 1.

According to the notice, Nepalis will get Single, Double, Half Year Multiple and One Year Multiple entry under Standard Visa free of cost. Such visas under Express 2 and Express 1 application processes, however, will attract fees of Rs 2,700 and Rs 4,000, respectively.

Similarly, Single Entry visas for Group will also be free. However, applicants will have to pay fees of Rs 1,350 and Rs 2,000, respectively, if they choose the Express 1 and Express 2 application processes.
