KATHMANDU: The National Assembly has approved the Bill to Amend Some Acts Related to Preventing Money Laundering and Business Promotion, 2023.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dhanraj Gurung, presented the Bill at the upper house for approval.

Speaking in the meeting, lawmakers Ramesh Jung Rayamajhi and Bhairav Sundar Shrestha commented on the bill accompanied by the report of the Legislative Management Committee and the message from the House of Representatives.

The National Assembly also endorsed ‘National Assembly Regulations (Second Amendment), 2023 proposed by Suresh Kumar Alemagar. Members including Prakash Pantha, Bhuwan Bahadur Sunar, Ramesh Jung Rayamajhi, Kamala Panta, Dr Bimala Rai Poudyal, Jitendra Narayan Dev, Bhairav Sundar Shrestha, Khimlal Devkota, Bimala Ghimire and Gopi Bahadur Sarki Achhami commented on the regulations.
