UML leading in Province-1 Assembly

ITAHARI: The Election Commission has published results of 38 out of 56 constituencies of the Province 1 Assembly so far.

As per the latest counting results, CPN-UML has won 15 seats while it is leading in 10 others. Similarly, Nepali Congress (NC) has won 11 seats and is leading in five seats. CPN (Maoist Center), on the other hand, has won eight seats and is leading in one seat.

CPN (Unified Socialist) has won two seats and is leading in two seats, while Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has won two seats.

Of the 10 province assembly constituencies in Jhapa, UML has won six, while NC and RPP have won two each.

Similarly, NC has won four out of 12 province constituencies in Morang. Candidates of UML and Maoist were victorious in two and one seats, respectively. UML is leading in three constituencies, while NC and Maoist are leading in one each.

In four province assembly seats in Udayapur, Maoist and NC have won two and one seats, respectively. NC is leading the count in the remaining one seat.

UML has taken both province assembly seats in Dhankuta, while it has won two and is leading in two out of eight seats in Sunsari. NC is leading in three province assembly seats in Sunsari. Counting has not begun in one seat.

Of the four province assembly seats in Ilam, UML has one seat, while NC, UML and Unified Socialist are leading the vote count in one seat each.

UML and Maoist Center have won one seat each in Solukhumbu, while candidates of NC and UML were victorious in one seat each in Khotang.

In Okhaldhunga, NC and Maoist Center have won one seat each. In two seats of Sankhuwasabha, Maoist has won one, while UML is leading on the other. UML and Maoist Center have won one seat each in Terhathum, while NC and Unified Socialist have taken one seat each in Bhojpur.

Similarly, Unified Socialist and Maoist have taken one seat each in Panchthar. In Taplejung, NC and UML have shared two seats among themselves.
