KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is leaving for Turkmenistan on Sunday to participate in the Third Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs).
According to Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, who is also the government spokesperson, the cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to approve the visit of a delegation to the conference under the leadership of PM Oli.
Oli will return on August 8.
The conference aims to address the unique challenges faced by landlocked developing nations, particularly in areas such as trade, connectivity, and sustainable development.
Nepal, as one of the 32 LLDCs, is expected to use the platform to raise issues related to its limited access to sea routes, trade facilitation and the need for stronger regional cooperation.
