Cop goes missing in Dolpa

KATHMANDU: A head constable of Nepal Police deputed at Area Police Office, Kaigaun, in Dolpa has gone missing since Thursday.

According to District Police Office, Dolpa, Joshiram Regami fell into Jagdulla River near Bhirkuna in Mudkechula Rural Municipality-1 while on a patrol on Thursday evening.

“He fell into the river while in a patrol. The search is underway,” DSP Shiva Budhathoki told Himal Press. “Difficult topography and torrential rain are hampering search operations.”

According to Budhathoki, rescue workers have found a bag that Regami was carrying.
