KATHMANDU: Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd has donated Rs 150 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
The company handed over the amount to Minister for Finance Swarnim Wagle at the Ministry of Finance in Kathmandu on Friday.
The contribution is the largest donation from the private sector to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund so far, according to the ministry.
Surya Nepal Managing Director Gaurav Tayal, Vice Presidents Dipra Laheri and Ravi KC and General Manager Prem Aryal handed over the check to Minister Wagle.
The Indo-Nepal-UK joint venture has been active in Nepal since 1986. It is one of the largest private sector enterprises in Nepal.
