RSP calls all-party meeting to discuss Sunsari incident

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has called an all-party meeting to discuss the Sunsari incident and other contemporary issues.

The meeting is scheduled for 8 am on Wednesday at the meeting hall of the Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives in Singha Durbar.

The RSP has invited all political parties represented in the federal parliament to participate in the discussion. In addition, parties led by Upendra Yadav, Mahanta Thakur and CK Raut have also been invited, according to the RSP.

“President Lamichhane has personally contacted leaders from various parties, requesting them to attend the meeting,” a member of Lamichhane’s secretariat said.

RSP General Secretary Bipin Acharya said a unified message from the political level is necessary to maintain social harmony and ensure peace and security in Sunsari following Sunday night’s incident.
