RSP’s closed-door session postponed to Tuesday

KATHMANDU: The closed-door session of the first General Convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been postponed following a dispute over the selection of convention delegates.

The session, which was originally scheduled for Monday, was postponed after disagreements arose regarding the list of convention delegates.

According to the party’s Central Election Commission, the closed-door session will now begin on Tuesday morning.

Party officials say the session was postponed because additional time was needed to correct and verify the list of general convention representatives.

The delay is likely to extend the party’s general convention by at least one day.

The Central Election Commission had earlier scheduled the closed-door session for Monday and voting to elect the party’s new leadership for Tuesday.
