KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu, in collaboration with the Pakistan Nepal Alumni Network (PNAN), organized a free medical camp in Ward 4 of Nagarjun Municipality on Saturday.
Nagarjun Municipality’s Deputy Chair Sushila Adhikari, Ward-4 Chair Laxmi Ram Sharma and PNAN President Deepak Mishra, among others, were present on the occasion.
According to the organizers, doctors, mostly graduates from Pakistan, provided medical consultations to Ward-4 residents, including senior citizens, women and children. More than 100 patients received check-ups during the camp. “Several patients were referred to tertiary-level hospitals for further treatment, while essential medicines were distributed free of cost,” the embassy said in the statement.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor Adhikari thanked the Embassy of Pakistan and PNAN for organizing the health camp. She added that such initiatives help improve access to basic healthcare services at the local level.
Similarly, PNAN President Mishra praised the embassy’s support for health-related initiatives in Nepal and appreciated the collaboration in delivering medical services to the community.
