Karnali Tourism Conference from May 23

SURKHET: The first-ever “Karnali Tourism Conference” is set to be held in Surkhet, the capital of Karnali Province, with the aim of promoting tourism, attracting investment, and expanding international outreach.

The conference is being jointly organized by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Birendranagar Municipality, and the Hotel Entrepreneurs Federation Karnali Province.

Conference Coordinator Tarka Bahadur Shahi announced on Thursday that the event would be held from May 23 to 25.

The conference is expected to highlight Karnali’s tourism development and promote tourism destinations and services of the province at both national and international levels.

Entrepreneurs, investors, travel agencies, tour operators, hoteliers, and tourism experts from Nepal, as well as Indian states such as Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and New Delhi, are expected to participate in the conference.

According to the organizers, the event will feature B2B meetings, networking sessions, destination presentations, property visits, familiarization (FAM) trips, panel discussions, and cultural programs.

Organizers expressed confidence that such activities would foster experience-sharing among stakeholders, encourage business collaboration, and build long-term partnerships in the tourism sector.
