KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has revised the prices of petroleum products. While state-owned monopolist lowered the prices of petrol and diesel/kerosene, the price of cooking LPG gas and aviation turbine fuel has been increased.
The price of LPG has risen by Rs 150 per cylinder (14.2 kg) to Rs 2,160 and half cylinder (7.1 kg) to Rs 1,080.
Similarly, NOC has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 2 per liter and diesel/kerosene by Rs 12 per liter. With the adjustment, petrol now costs Rs 217 per liter in Kathmandu, while diesel and kerosene are available for Rs 225 per liter each.
Likewise, the price of aviation turbine fuel has been increased by Rs 7 per liter for domestic flights and Rs 46 per liter for international flights (Kathmandu). For international flights from Pokhara and Bhairahawa, the selling price has been fixed at the break-even point, according to NOC.
NOC has said that the prices were adjusted in line with the new price rates received from its sole supplier – the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). The new prices came into effect from Thursday midnight.
