KATHMANDU: The identity of the man found dead at the residence of Ganga Dahal, daughter of CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has been confirmed.
According to Chakraraj Joshi, spokesperson for the District Police Range, Lalitpur, the deceased has been identified as Saroj Khatri (27), a permanent resident of Bhumlu Rural Municipality-4, Kavrepalanchok, who had been living in Sunakothi-25, Lalitpur.
“The identification was confirmed on Wednesday based on the man‘s clothes and wristwatch,” Joshi told RSS news agency.
The body has been taken to Patan Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Protesters had set the house on fire on Tuesday afternoon during the Gen Z protest.
