KATHMANDU: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Siddhi Bikram Shah has been promoted to the rank of Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Nepal Police.
A cabinet meeting held on Thursday took the decision to promote Shah with effect from May 27, according to the Nepal Police Headquarters.
One post of AIG had been lying vacant with the retirement of AIG Lalmani Acharya, who was promoted to the position on May 16, on age grounds.
Shah, who had been leading the Special Bureau of Nepal Police, has been deputed to the Operations Department.
