Lower house to deliberate on policies and programs for six days

KATHMANDU: The government’s policies and programs for the fiscal year 2025/26 will be deliberated in the House of Representatives for six days.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire informed in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday that discussions on the policies and programs, along with responses from the Prime Minister, have been scheduled for May 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11.

Ghimire requested the whips of different political parties to provide the names of lawmakers participating in the discussion to the Business Advisory Section of parliament one hour before the meeting begins.

The Speaker also said that lawmakers proposing amendments to the policies and programs can submit their notices to the Business Advisory Section on May 3 and 4 between 11 am and 3 pm.

The next meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled for May 5 at 11 am.
