KATHMANDU: A dead Royal Bengal tiger was found in the Kisan Buffer Zone Community Forest. The tiger was found in a decomposed state.

According to Shuklaphanta National Park, the deceased tiger was approximately 13 years old. “Upon investigation, it was determined that the tiger was old and likely died of natural causes,” Purushottam Wagley, the information officer of the Shuklaphanta National Park Office, told RSS news agency. He added that half of the tiger’s body had been burned when a forest fire occurred.

After the carcass was spotted in the bushes, forest guards informed the Kisan Buffer Zone Community Forest Management Committee about it. The committee then informed us about the incident, added Wagley.
