KATHMANDU: CPN-UML, the largest party in the ruling coalition, has requested other parties to join the Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government.
A meeting of the party’s Secretariat Committee held at the party headquarters on Friday morning took a decision to this end.
“This government has been formed to change people’s despair into hope. That is why we have requested parties for their support and participation,” UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel said after the meeting.
He also said that UML was hopeful that the Dahal-led government would uphold the nation’s independence and work for the development and prosperity of the country.
Meanwhile, UML has decided to organize several programs to commemorate its 75th Establishment Day on April 22. The party also decided to hold a meeting of its general convention representatives on April 20 and 21.
