KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has ordered its administration to register a writ petition against Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai.
A single bench of Justice Ananda Mohan Bhattarai issued the order on Friday.
The Supreme Court had earlier refused to register the writ petition filed by former Maoist child soldiers, including Lenin Bista, demanding the apex court’s order to start prosecution against the Maoist leaders for using child soldiers during the Maoist insurgency.
Dahal was the commander of the rebel Maoist party, while Bhattarai was the second-in-command.
After the apex court refused to register his writ petition, Bista filed another petition demanding an interim order against the court administration’s decision to refuse registration of the writ petition.
