Nepal Police begins preparation to fill 22 vacant posts of SP Nepal Police Headquarters

KATHMANDU: Deputy Superintendents of Nepal Police (DSPs) have begun lobbying as the police headquarters start preparations to fill vacant 22 posts of Superintendents of Police (SPs).

Eighteen posts of SPs are lying vacant with the promotion of incumbent SPs to SSPs. Similarly, one post became vacant after SP Abhushan Timsina tendered his resignation after he was left out for promotion. Likewise, three posts were lying vacant for a long time.

Inspector General Basatna Bahadur Kunwar is conferring insignias on 18 officers, who were promoted to SSPs on April 28, on Monday. Since he is leaving on a foreign trip soon after, the officers will be promoted to SP only after he returns. However, the promotion process will move ahead even during the period, a source at the police headquarters told Himal Press.

Ram Gharti, Rajesh Thapa, Harihar Nath Yogi, Apil Bohara, Gautam KC, Basundhara Khadka, Ravindra Singh, Angur GC, Chitra Bahadur Gurung, Govinda Puri, Navaraj Karki, Basudev Pathak, Rupesh Khadka, Milan KC, Kumod Dhungel, Bhavesh Rimal, Santosh Acharya, Narayan Chimauria, Shyam Bahadur Khatri, Shyam Kumar Rai, Shalikram Sharma, Rajan Bhujel, Narendra Chand, Govinda Raj Kafle, Yadav Dhakal, Pradeep Kumar Chhetri, Dhakendra Khatiwada, Shyam Babu Olia, Narayan Ranjitkar, Niranjan Dutta Bhatta, Rajan Limbu, Santosh Tamang abd Rabin Karki are among the DSPs in internal lobbying for promotion to SPs.
