KATHMANDU: Newly-appointed Administrator of the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF), Jitendra Dhital, assumed office on Friday.
Finance Secretary Krisha Hari Pushkar administered the oath of office and secrecy to Dhital amid a function organized at the Ministry of Finance. Speaking on the occasion, Pushkar asked Dhital to make EPF’s service delivery more effective.
After taking the oath of office and secrecy at the finance ministry, Dhital reached the Pulchowk-based office of EPF. Dhital has expressed commitment to taking EPF to newer heights through the support and cooperation of all stakeholders of the EPF. “Efforts of one individual alone won’t be sufficient. We can achieve many things by working as a team,” Dhital said, after assuming office. He also expressed commitment to developing EPF as a social security institution of international standard.
EPF had received international recognition while Dhital was working as the officiating chief of the institution. Earlier this year, EPF received a ‘Technology Development’ award from the Philippines-based ADIFAP.
Dhital, a chartered accountant (CA) by profession, holds Masters’s degree in Economics and Information Technology. He had joined EPF right after completing his CA course.
