KATHMANDU: Nepal has won the ‘ICC Digital Fan Engagement of the Year Award’ for the Asia region.
According to a statement issued by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Nepal will now compete with four other regional winners as global nominees. The nominees were voted by a specialist panel comprising game development experts, former international cricketers, and media personnel, it added.
A total of 21 nations have been nominated for the awards from five different regions for the awards in six categories – ICC Development Initiative of the Year, 100% Cricket Women’s Cricket Initiative of the Year, ICC Digital Fan Engagement of the Year, Cricket 4 Good Social Impact Initiative of the Year, ICC Associate Member Men’s Performance of the Year, and ICC Associate Member Women’s Performance of the Year.
“We are delighted to announce the regional winners in the ICC Development Awards 2023. I want to thank all of our Members for the work that they commit to growing the game like it has never grown before and congratulate all of the successful member federations on their remarkable achievements in 2023,” William Glenwright, the ICC General Manager – Development, said in a statement issued by ICC.
