KATHMANDU: Several houses in Puwa in Lomanthang Rural Municipality-3 of Mustang were damaged by twin earthquakes measuring above 4 on the Richter scale on Tuesday night.
The epicenters of the earthquakes were in the Upper Mustang region of Mustang.
According to the Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal, its personnel safely removed essential items and belongings from the damaged houses.
Following the earthquakes, locals and tourists left their homes and hotels and took shelter in open spaces.
Although no major loss of life has been reported so far, authorities are collecting details of damage and monitoring the affected areas, the APF Nepal said in the statement.
The tremors were also felt in the Kathmandu Valley.
