KATHMANDU: Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal personnel rescued tourists, who were left stranded on Fewa Lake due to strong winds, on Monday afternoon.

According to DSP Shailendra Thapa, joint spokesperson for APF Nepal, sudden strong winds caught the tourists off guard while they were boating on the lake.

“Resham Thapa, 21, of Bharatpur-5 in Chitwan, fell from the boat due to the strong winds. APF’s rescue squad responded quickly and safely brought him and the other tourists back to shore,” Thapa said in a press statement.
