Top three leaders undermining democracy, says CK Raut

KATHMANDU: Dr. CK Raut, the chairman of the Janamat Party, has said that his party was established to disrupt the prevailing practice of controlling state affairs through the influence of three senior leaders.

Speaking at an event organized by the party in Kathmandu on Friday, Raut expressed his concern that these leaders are undermining the democratic system. “Despite following a parliamentary system, the voices of parliamentarians are often ignored, and state affairs have been revolving around these three leaders for the past 35 years. The Janamat Party has been formed to challenge this status quo,” he added.

He further emphasized that the Janamat Party bears the responsibility of realizing people’s aspirations for essentials such as food, shelter, clothing, education, healthcare, employment, and social security.

Raut affirmed his party’s commitment to working with integrity to fulfill these aspirations.
