KATHMANDU: Tragedy struck on Tuesday morning in Kanchanrup Rural Municipality of Saptari district when a head-on collision between a pickup truck and a passenger jeep claimed the lives of three individuals.
The pickup truck, which was carrying two horses, collided with the passenger jeep near Bishnu Temple in Kanchanrup-9. The District Police Office in Saptari has identified the deceased as Sanjaya Chaudhary, Rajkumari Chaudhary, and Hare Ram Sah. Al the deceased are from Duhabi-3 in Sunsari. Similarly, one of the horses also lost its life in the collision.
According to the police, 12 passengers from both vehicles sustained injuries. They were immediately taken to Dharmeshwar Hospital in Theliya for first aid. Following this, they were rushed to Biratnagar for further treatment.
