Three dead in road accident in Dailekh

SURKHET: Three persons died in a road accident in Dailekh district on Wednesday.

According to police, a truck carrying LPG cylinders to Dailekh from Nepalgunj met with an accident at Talpokhari in Gurans Municipality-4 at around 9 am.

“The deceased have been identified as truck driver Krishna Chaudhary and helpers Lakshiram Chaudary and Bishnu Chaudhary,” DSP Kishor Lamsal of the District Police Office, Dailekh, said. “One of the helpers Prakash Kumari escaped the incident unhurt.

Preliminary investigations show that the truck fell 150 meters off the road when a helper was trying to place a wheel chock to halt the vehicle, according to the police.
