Three dead in Nuwakot bus accident

KATHMANDU: Three persons died and 23 others were injured in a road accident in Nuwakto district on Thursday.

The passenger bus heading to Dangsingh of Tarkeshwar-1 from Battar in Bidur Municipality-4 met with an accident at Piplabot in Bidur-12 at around 4 pm.

Two passengers died on the spot while, while succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Trishuli Hospital, according to police.

The deceased has been identified as Ram Prasad Aryal (62) and his wife Sitadevi Aryal (60) of Bhamara in Tarakeshwar-6, and Baburam Darji (58) of Bidur-3.
The bus, which was operated by Namaste Pasang Lhamu Transport, lost control on a sloping road, falling back around 150 meters, police say.
